Summer Newsletter 2011Dave has submitted a newsletter chronicling his experience at ITG 2011 in Minneapolis. Look for it in Downloads and then New Downloads directly under the "Downloads" title. Then click on show downloads towards the bottom center (wish I could figure out an easier way).Welcome to Pivotalk on the Net"...a new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing it's opponents and making them see the light, but rather because it's opponents die and a new generation grows up that's familiar with it." Max Planck - Nobel Prize Winner PhysicsWhat Is A Pivot? The lips and mouthpiece "as one unit" must move vertically on "the track of the inner embouchure (the teeth for trumpet - the teeth and gums for trombone) and whether or not this movement is to be in an upward or downward direction to ascend or descend is strictly based upon the performers particular physical type.Tuesday, September 25, 2007 - 05:43 PM

Do you have pictures illustrating the correct implementation of the Pivot System? There is a fair amount of discussion, but pictures sure help to describe a concept. Perhaps you have some pictures of the right way and the wrong way(s) to play. Please consider posting these in the pertinent topics on the forum. Thanks!

Dave Sheetz has updated his review of TRUMPET PEDAGOGY -- A Compendium of Modern Teaching Techniques. This is a very professional review and is more detailed than allowed in the "Reviews" section on the left. Instead, you can find it in the downloads under Downloads->Reviews.
Thanks, Dave!

Check out the download section which is being updated over the next few days with Reinhardt audio and (possibly) video.

Welcome to PivoTalk! If you are looking for the discussion forum, click Forum on the left. You can submit any important news on this main page by using Submit News. Users, moderators, and admins can all submit reviews, links to other web sites, and search this BBS by using the menu on the left. Don't forget to set up your options in My Account. Also, you may find choosing an alternate theme makes things easier for you to read. If your time and date are wrong, this is the place to set your time zone and make them right! Enjoy!
